Phil joined Paramex at the beginning of 2009 with the remit to expand and grow the business. He has over thirty-five years of engineering experience including telecommunications, white goods and automotive. He started his career as an apprentice jig & tool designer, sealing systems design engineer, IT contractor to successful business owner. Since then he has worked tirelessly to grow the business, increasing revenue and profitability year on year. His role today is to oversee and support the very highly skilled team that work alongside him and to uphold the core values which Paramex stand for, integrity, ingenuity and value for money in an ever-challenging market.
Founder and Technical Executive Officer of Paramex for twenty years, Alexis has gained a wealth of experience in CAD systems prior to and during his time at Paramex. Developing the companies vision in support of OEMs and tiered suppliers in the automotive sector. He has worked on everything from interior trim, brightwork, lighting systems and child car seats to full vehicle conversions. In the last ten years he has supported Core Visualisation and Clash Management tools within a PLM environment whilst also engaged in developing and rolling out new toolsets to engineering user groups in an OEM setting.
Wayne Burgess brings a wealth of creative design and leadership experience to the Paramex organisation, having designed vehicles for numerous premium automotive manufacturers including Jaguar Land Rover, Aston Martin, Rolls Royce, Bentley and Geely over a career spanning more than 3 decades. Wayne started his career at LTI Carbodies, working on the TX1, which ultimately became the replacement for the original London Taxi. He then moved into design consultancy, working at Omni Design in the mid 90’s for a variety of manufacturers including Rolls Royce, Bentley, Aston Martin and Rover Group. In 1997 he moved to Jaguar, and started a 21 year career that commenced as principal designer and, following a number of promotions, saw Wayne leave the business as Design Studio Director for all Jaguar Production Vehicles, in addition to looking after their Special Vehicle Operations Division. During his time at Jaguar, Wayne was also seconded, by Ian Callum, to look after Aston Martin as Senior Design Manager on the Aston Martin DB9 and what became the V8 Vantage programs. Wayne went on to join Geely, as VP of Design, in their newly established UK studio at the start of 2019, before taking the decision to re-join the world of Design Consultancy, with Paramex, in August 2020. Career ‘high points’ for Wayne include being Chief Designer on the original Jaguar XF and F-Type programs, being Senior Design Manager on the Aston Martin DB9 Program, and leading the team that created the Jaguar Project 7, 8 and Jaguar I-Pace and ‘E-Trophy’ versions at Special Vehicle Operations.
Lisa Joined Paramex at the beginning of 2019, with over twenty-five years experience supporting and delivering specialist and technical resources to the Automotive, Aerospace, Commercial and Marine industries. Lisa started her career as an executive head hunter, working with senior management to accurately identify the right person, with the right skills, for the role. Steadily growing her knowledge and experience to include full programme /project management support, Lisa consistently aims to provide the very best service models for clients and suppliers, designed, implemented and delivered by the right people with the right values.
Steve is Strategic Partner and SME for Engineering consultancy services. He brings over thirty years’ experience in a wide range of automotive engineering disciplines, having led product development in JLR SVO for over ten years. Steve is recognised for his technical expertise, leadership and pragmatism. Uniquely, having worked in SVO, Steve has both significant experience in high volume complex vehicle projects such as the Range Rover SVR, and low volume specialist cars such as the Jaguar Project 8, and one-off bespoke commissions. Steve has specific experience in Body, Trim (Interior and Exterior) and Electrical, but also Powertrain, Chassis, engineering from concept to launch, supplier selection and development, team capability growth, and delivering projects on time to cost and quality.
Jahirul is Strategic Partner and SME, managing Digital Visualisation services. In this role, he supervises a diverse range of projects, from the creation of bespoke configurators and real-time solutions, to ‘photo realistic’ still and moving images for print and non-print media. Jahirul has over ten years experience in the CG industry, having worked with multiple Oscar-winning VFX companies on films such as Ant-Man, Avengers, Pacific Rim: Uprising and Bohemian Rhapsody, and with prestigious Automotive clients such as Bentley and Jaguar Land Rover. His complete understanding of the creation process, from concept to final render, allows him to customise and create efficient solutions to match the requirements of the client. With a background in training and academia, Jahirul is also responsible for the Academy Training Programme at Paramex, delivering hands-on, industry-standard training to young, aspiring artists in the workplace.
